Mistwood was carefully carved out of the existing natural landscape. The original course architect, Jerry Matthews, said it best, "This land was ideally suited for a golf course." Exceptional beauty, superb playability, and great value all add up to the best golfing experience in Northern Michigan.
Mistwood’s well-manicured courses have bentgrass fairways and terraced, well-bunkered greens that are consistent and fast. With slope ratings of 143 from the championship tees to 117 from the red tees, Mistwood is a facility for golfers of all ages and abilities. The golf course complex includes a clubhouse and pro shop, practice range with target greens and sand bunkers, and three putting greens.
Our newest addition is the "Little Nine". This par three, nine-hole course is incorporated into the Mistwood Greens development of villas, cottages, and homesites that are located directly across the road from the clubhouse.
